The Office of the City Treasurer of Chicago approached TS Design Studio with a bold vision: to modernize its public-facing identity and amplify its message of financial empowerment, transparency, and community investment. As the city’s financial steward, the Treasurer’s Office needed a brand presence that reflected both institutional credibility and grassroots accessibility. TS Design Studio was tasked with a full-scale rebrand—including a new logo, redesigned website, and a cohesive visual system for digital and print communications across Chicago.
Project Objective
Our mission was to elevate the Treasurer’s Office into a recognizable, trusted, and visually unified brand. Key objectives included:
- Logo Redesign: Create a modern, civic-minded logo that balances professionalism with approachability—symbolizing fiscal leadership and community connection.
- Website Redesign: Develop a user-friendly, mobile-responsive website that simplifies access to financial resources, programs, and events while reinforcing the office’s mission.
- Branded Graphic System: Design a flexible visual identity system for use across:
- Social media campaigns
- Printed collateral (flyers, brochures, reports)
- Outdoor advertising (billboards, CTA rail banners, posters)
- Event signage and promotional materials
- Messaging Alignment: Ensure all visuals and copy reflect the Treasurer’s commitment to equity, education, and economic opportunity for all Chicagoans.
Creative Approach
TS Design Studio led with a strategy rooted in clarity, civic pride, and visual consistency. The new logo incorporates clean typography and symbolic elements that evoke trust and progress. The website was rebuilt with intuitive navigation, bold calls-to-action, and dynamic content modules to spotlight initiatives like “Spend in the Black” and financial literacy programs. For the citywide campaign, we crafted branded templates and assets that could scale across platforms—ensuring every touchpoint, from a CTA banner to a social post, felt unified and impactful.
Outcome
The rebrand launched to strong public reception and internal praise. The new identity helped the Treasurer’s Office increase engagement across digital channels, improve accessibility to financial tools, and strengthen its visibility across Chicago’s neighborhoods.
